Dreamy Bohemian Tulum Wedding
Welcome to Chrissy and Dillon’s bohemian wedding on the Caribbean Coastline. The Archive
Rentals team has done what they do best to bring you the ultimate destination wedding inspiration once again from Tulum, Mexico. This time along with Mango Wedding planning, they created a picture-perfect ceremony and reception at the Akiin Events beach venue. “I love you to Tulum and Back” reads this beautiful sign placed amongst the dried palm leaves which begins the perfect contrast between delicate modern touches and bold nature which is visible throughout the whole event.
Meet the couple! Chrissy and Dillon tied the knot at their destination wedding looking just as amazing as the event décor that surrounded them on their special day. The bride wore an elegant off-white gown paired with the perfect bohemian bouquet and the groom was styled in a matching boutonniere on a modern cream-colored suit. We see the newlyweds posed here under the palm and floral archway that was used for their ceremony. There is no doubt that Tulum is a beautiful location for a wedding, and this was Chrissy’s answer as to why Tulum: “We chose Tulum for our wedding for a couple different reasons. First, it was where we got engaged so it was a special place for the both of us. Additionally, since I am not a California native, my family and friends are spread out all over the place. We figured if we were making half of our guests fly / drive anyways, we might as well make everyone - and make a vacation out of it!”
After the beachfront ceremony, the couple celebrated with an intimate reception that kept the dreamy vibes going for a magical dinner. Under a straw canopy roof this beach wedding transformed into a romantic oasis with its white candles and dim string lights which created the perfect ambiance. As for wedding furniture, we see the newly married couples’ main table which is adorned with white roses and dried palms which matched the arch under which they married in. Archive’s dark wooden rental tables with a thin white runner draped over it was the base for this beautiful boho design. On the right for the guests’ table, we see the same dark table with lighter wood chairs for contrast and an orange napkin over classic dinnerware for a pop of color against the white roses.
This tropical wedding would not be complete without areas for people to relax on Tulum’s famous white sand beach. As for the bride’s take on event rentals, she was happy to splurge on: “1000% the lounge areas. Our wedding was pretty small – only 53 guests – so we placed them around the dance floor and the reception area always felt full. Not to mention they were GORGEOUS and one of my favorite parts about the whole set up.” Pictured above is one of these lounge areas that Chrissy shared her love for to the Archive team. Next to a tiki bar is this cozy sitting area for guests to enjoy with comfortable seating and poufs. We see our theme carry on with the florals and cream colors accompanied by a mustard couch.
Of course, this destination wedding had the advantage of a beautiful venue to work with, but the event design is what makes the wedding come together to create the desired mood and feel. When asked what part of the design the bride was most excited to see come to life she answered: “We booked the venue sight unseen and walking down the aisle was the first time I was seeing everything come together. I spent an unhealthy number of hours on Pinterest researching how other brides styled our venue, but I was so excited to see how our décor would look inside the space. And I was not disappointed! The signage, guest book table, lounges, ceremony space, dinner palapa– it was all so exciting to see.”
